President Isaias attends CEN-SAD summit in Burkina Faso

Asmara, 1 June 2005 (ERINA) -
President Isaias Afwerki is attending the 7th CEN-SAD summit meeting in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

The two-day summit will discuss commercial and economic cooperation among CEN-SAD member states, administrative and financial matters of the organization, ways of resolving conflicts, particularly among member states and African countries in general, as well as the reorganization of the United Nations and membership in the UN Security Council.

It is to be recalled that a meeting of experts took place between May 26 and 28 and the 12th meeting of the CEN-SAD Ministerial Council on May 29. An Eritrean delegation from the Foreign Ministry headed by the Director General of the Middle East and North Africa Desk, Ambassador Mohammed Omar Mahmoud, participated in the meeting.
