Messages of condolence continue

Asmara, 2 September 2005 - Officials of different countries and organizations sent messages of condolence to President Isaias Afwerki on the martyrdom of Foreign Minister Ali Seid Abdalla.

They are the Foreign Minister of Yemen, Dr. Abubeker Abdalla, the Foreign Minister of Germany, Mr. Joschka Fischer, the Foreign Minister of Lebanon, Mr. Faouzi Salloukh, the Foreign Minister of Sweden, Ms. Laila Freivalds, the Foreign Minister of Belarus, Mr. Serge Martinov, the Foreign Minister of Syria, Mr. Farouk Al-Shara, the Israeli Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister, Mr. Silvan Shalon, the Italian Minister in charge of nationals residing abroad, Mr. Mirko Tremaglia, the Spanish Minster for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mr. Angel Moratinos, Algerian State Minister, Mr. Mohammed Bijawi, the Korean Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Mr. Ong Min Soon, the Canadian Foreign Ministry, the Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr. Kaishiro Fukushima, the Administrator of Aljezira region in Sudan, General Abdulrahman Sralkhetim Mohammed, the Director General of Dar-Asherik Publishers in Qatar and Abass Almela. In their respective messages, the officials conveyed sympathy to the people and Government of Eritrea as well as to the bereaved family.

Moreover, several other foreign officials and friends of Eritrea and of the late Ali Seid Abdalla are signing Book of Condolence in the Eritrean Embassies in Switzerland, Bahrain, Lebanon, Qatar, Sweden, Germany, Australia, Italy, South Africa and other countries.
