Eritrean delegation in China on working visit

Asmara, 3 September 2005 -
Dr. Woldai Futur, Minister of National Development, who is on a working visit in the PRC heading a government delegation, held talks in Beijing with the country's Vice Minister of Trade, as well as the President of Exim Bank on the implementation of the previously concluded bilateral accords in the spheres of telecommunications, cement and others.

The Eritrean delegation is making the visit with the purpose of implementing the economic agreements reached between Eritrea and the PRC during the visit of President Isaias Afwerki early this year. The delegation is also scheduled to hold talks with different other Chinese government officials.

Moreover, the Eritrean delegation is due to visit the Republic of Korea, in the course of which it will hold talks with the South Korean Minister of Finance, the President of the Central Bank and the head of international cooperation.
