Asmara, 22 April 2010 - Eritrean citizens living in Pune, India, reiterated readiness to enhance contribution to the national development drive through standing alongside the people and the Government.

In a meeting they conducted, the nationals pointed out that the  unjust and vicious sanctions resolution is not something new but the continuation of the previous ones. In this respect, they expressed conviction that the Eritrean people would as ever rebuff the move through reinforcing unity and steadfastness.

The Eritrean Ambassador to India, Mr. Alem Tsehaye, stated that the national economic development drive would be successful thanks to the dedication of the people and the leadership. He further indicated that the vigorous endeavors being made to ensure social justice are brining about noticeable improvement in the people’s standard of living.

Mr. Alem went on to say that the unjust resolution fully attests to Eritrea’s strength and its people on the one hand, and the weakness and frustration of hostile forces on the other. In this connection, the Ambassador called on Eritrean citizens in the Diaspora in general and the youth in particular to enhance participation in foiling the vicious resolution and backing up national programs.

The participants of the meeting pledged to live up to the nation’s expectations.
