Eritrean community in Australia contribute 45,000 dollars

In a meeting they conducted on April 24, members of the Eritrean community in the Australian cities of Melbourne and Perth contributed about 45,000 dollars towards reinforcing the national resolute rebuff.
Asmara, 26 April 2010 –In a meeting they conducted on April 24, members of the Eritrean community in the Australian cities of Melbourne and Perth contributed about 45,000 dollars towards reinforcing the national resolute rebuff.

Following discussions on the objective situation in the Homeland and the role of citizens in the national development drive, the participants pledged to donate 500 dollars each as part of the 30,000 dollars raised during the meeting.

Commending the implementation of the dynamic development programs being undertaken in the nation through active popular participation, the nationals voiced determination to enhance their contribution in national development programs.

Similarly, members of the Eritrean community in Perth city contributed about 15,000 dollars at the meeting they held, in addition to agreeing to donate 500 dollars each.

Speaking at both meetings, Mr. Beshir Idrisnur, Consul General in Eritrean Embassy in Australia and New Zealand, noted the persistent endeavors the Eritrean government is exerting to upgrade the people’s living standard and ensure social justice. He further stated that the active participation of the people at home and abroad is making significant contribution in the achievement of the set goal.
