Eritreans in Washington D.C. and Seattle reaffirm readiness to live up to martyrs’ trust

Eritrean nationals residing in Washington D.C. and Seattle, USA, commemorated Martyrs Day, during which they reaffirmed readiness to enhance contribution in support of martyrs’ families. Various programs highlighting the Great Day featured in the commemorative event.

Asmara, 22 June 2010 - Eritrean nationals residing in Washington D.C. and Seattle, USA, commemorated Martyrs Day, during which they reaffirmed readiness to enhance contribution in support of martyrs’ families. Various programs highlighting the Great Day featured in the commemorative event.

The Eritrean Ambassador to North America, Mr. Girmai Gebremichael, explained that the fact the Eritrean people managed to accelerate the pace of development endeavors while at the same time rebuffing enemy acts of conspiracy amply demonstrates their commitment to honor the trust of fallen heroes. He further underscored that every citizen is duty-bound to make due contribution in assisting families of martyrs.

Also in a similar commemorative event they held, Eritrean nationals in Seattle decided to donate 1 dollar each every day in support of martyrs’ families.
