Commendable effort to ensure social justice

Owing to the regrouping of villages in 8 administrative areas in the Halhal sub-zone the residents have become beneficiaries of educational, health and transportation services as well as potable water supply.

Keren, 02 November 2017- Owing to the regrouping of villages in 8 administrative areas in the Halhal sub-zone the residents have become beneficiaries of educational, health and transportation services as well as potable water supply.

The administrator of the sub-zone, Mr. Mahmud Ibrahim indicated that there are 6 kindergartens, 8 elementary, 5 junior and 2 high schools in the sub-zone and students’ school enrolment is increasing from time to time.

Mr. Mahmud pointed out that the six big and small dams are significantly contributing in the development of vegetable and fruits farming. He also said that the residents of Halhal, Melebso, Kertset and Gebei-Alebu have become beneficiaries of potable water supply operating with solar system.

Mr. Mahmud reiterated that out of the 6670 hectares arable land in the sub-zone 5456 hectares of land has been cultivated with variety of crops.

Mr. Mahumd also called for the proper use of the social service rendering institutions.
