Livestock vaccination in Anseba

In 2017 around 630 thousand livestock were vaccinated in Anseba region against internal and external pests, according to Mr. Michael Tesfaselasie, head of animal health in the region.

 

Keren, 02 January 2018- In 2017 around 630 thousand livestock were vaccinated in Anseba region against internal and external pests, according to Mr. Michael Tesfaselasie, head of animal health in the region.

Mr. Michael pointed out that the vaccination program that was conducted in 90 administrative areas from 131 centers was aimed at ensuring the health of the livestock and guarantee their development.

Indicating that there was sufficient facility and medicine as well as the cooperation on the part of the public and administrations, Mr. Michael called on area administrators to strengthen role in public awareness raising campaigns for better outcome.


Mr. Michael also called on farmers to properly follow the advice provided by agricultural experts and to report in case of observing the occurrence of any threat of health to their livestock.
