Youth trained in various skills

the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students (NUEYS) branch in the Gash Barka region provided vocational training to 90 youth from the sub-zones of Barentu, Haikota and Shambuko in editing, graphics and beauty saloon.

Barentu, 27 February 2018- the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students (NUEYS) branch in the Gash Barka region provided vocational training to 90 youth from the sub-zones of Barentu, Haikota and Shambuko in editing, graphics and beauty saloon.

According to the report, 15 youth from the Barentu sub-zone were provided four months training in editing and graphics, 25 youth in beauty saloon for three months while 50 youth in Shambuko and Haikota sub-zones in beauty saloon.

The head of projects in the NUEYS branch in the region, Mr. Daniel Abraha indicated that the objective of the training was to enable the youth become self-supportive and productive members of the society. M. Daniel also said that 200 youth training in various skills in 2017 were provided each 20 thousand Nakfa and material worth 20 thousand Nakfa and that the newly trained will also have similar opportunity of support.

Mr. Simret Gebremedhin, chairman of the youth workers, said that effort is being exerted to create forum including cultural and sports activities with of objectives of enabling the youth share experiences among each other.

The head of the Political Affairs of the union branch, Mr. Markos Girmatsion on his part indicated that there is a plan to provide vocational training in 10 fields for 400 youth from the 12 sub-zones in the region.
