Crops In Anseba Region In Promising State

Crops in various areas of Anseba region, especially the farming areas cultivated as part of integrated farming this year are in promising conditions.

Keren, 12 August 2010 – Crops in various areas of Anseba region, especially the farming areas cultivated as part of integrated farming this year are in promising conditions.

Reports disclosed that crops in Sutir, Admai Megarih and other places are in good condition as a result of the extensive distribution of rainfall this year.

Since there was a good range of rainfall in March and May in sub-zones of Anseba, it was disclosed that over 70% of farmland have been cultivated on time. Most of the crops are in a promising condition following good distribution of rainfall on the months of July and on first week of August.

More than 3,500 hectares of land have been cultivated as part of the integrated farming endeavors.
