Coordinated Endeavors Vital for Nurturing Dynamic and Disciplined Juveniles

The Eritrean Police in Anseba region highlighted the need of making coordinated endeavors on the part of the society and all government institutions in nurturing disciplined and dynamic juveniles who refrain themselves from engaging in criminal acts.
Keren, 18 August 2010 - The Eritrean Police in Anseba region highlighted the need of making coordinated endeavors on the part of the society and all government institutions in nurturing disciplined and dynamic juveniles who refrain themselves from engaging in criminal acts.

In a meeting he held in Keren town with heads of various bodies, religious leaders, village elders and the youth, Sergeant Girmai Tesfai from the Eritrean Police in the region elaborated on the steps that need to be taken in preventing crimes and wrongdoings committed by juveniles. He further explained that although crimes committed by juveniles in the country is not an issue of serious concern compared to a number of other countries,  it is, nonetheless, imperative to prevent such incidents witnessed on rare occasion.

The meeting further took note of the significance of raising the awareness of the society in general and the youth in particular regarding law, besides providing academic and vocational courses in the field of their choice and interest to this end.

The participants of the meeting conducted in-depth discussion on ways of identifying and resolving the crimes committed by juveniles, as well as the measures that need to be taken in refraining them from being involved in criminal acts and harmful habits. 

Likewise, the head of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare branch in the region, Mr. Girmai Bokretsion, pointed out that substantial budge has been allocated towards facilitating efforts to tackle social problems. He went on to say that fostering close coordination among all institutions is of vital significance to this end.
