The dairy farm cooperatives association in Adi-Quala sub-zone is striving to boost milk production. The Association is supplying about 70,000 liters of milk to the market annually.
Adi-Quala, 24 December 2010 - The dairy farm cooperatives association in Adi-Quala sub-zone is striving to boost milk production. The Association is supplying about 70,000 liters of milk to the market annually.

Speaking at an assessment meeting held recently, the chairman of the Association, Mr. Tedros Hailemariam, said that encouraging tasks have been accomplished as regards addressing the problems of members, meeting market demand, securing fair market for its products and stabilizing the market, besides offering training programs.

The head of animal resource in the Agriculture Ministry’s branch in the Southern region, Dr. Ogbazgi Kifle, stressed the need for the Association to extensively cultivate animal feed so as to boost production.

The members of the Association on their part highlighted the need for creating conducive ground that enable them to directly interact with customers, as well as addressing the problem of sales shop for their products.

The dairy farm cooperative association in Adi-Quala sub-zone  which was established in 1998 has about 210 members.
