The Administrator of Gash-Barka region, Mr. Mussa Rab’a called on the farming community in Tessenei sub-zone engaged in cultivating fruits and vegetables to step up endeavors to boost production. He made the statement in a meeting he conducted in Tessenei sub-zone.

The head of the branch office of Mining and Energy in the Southern region, Mr. Abraham Tewolde, stressed the need for taking immediate measures to control traditional mining which is causing water pollution in the area.

The inhabitants of Ti’o semi-urban center expressed satisfaction with the provision of mobile telephone service which was introduced 2009.

Additional classrooms, offices and potable water supply project have been put in place in the elementary and junior schools of Adi-Baro and Adi Gebre-Kefelet at a total expenditure of over 1 million Nakfa.

The Chairman of the Southern Red Sea Regional Assembly, Mr. Ali Nur Ali, stated that the number of individuals living in streets has dramatically dropped thanks to the Government’s endeavors to expand equitable social service and improve the people’s standard of living, coupled with the society’s noble culture of mutual collaboration.
