More than 2,000 needy families in the sub-zones of Ara’ata, Central and Southern Denkalia of the Southern Red Sea region have been rehabilitated through livestock worth about 12 million Nakfa, and thereby enable them become self-supporting. |

A workshop on handling and controlling various imported persistent organic pollutants and pesticides was conducted yesterday here in the capital.
Members of the general public highlighted the need for relocating vehicle safety examining site at Tsetserat here in the capital to another more convenient site, as it is exposing customers to unwanted wastage of time and energy, besides hindering other activities in the area.
The Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Arefaine Berhe, stressed the need for members of the farming community to step up activities until crop yield so as to obtain bumper harvest.
A conference on mineral resources and mining opportunities in Eritrea was opened today at Hotel Asmara Palace under the theme: “Mining for Sustainable Development”.
