President Isaias Afwerki today presided over the graduation of the 4th batch of the Sawa Vocational Training Center numbering 2,497 in the presence of senior government officials and parents.
A total of 4,706 students who scored a passing mark in the 2009/2010 High School Leaving National Certificate Exams would joint the institutions of higher education to pursue advanced education, according to Dr. Tadesse Mehari, Executive Director of the National Board of Eritrean Institutions of Higher Education.
The participants of the Summer Work Program (SWP) in Anseba region have carried out effective tasks, stated Mr. Kifle Solomon, Coordinator of the program in the Education Ministry’s branch office in the region.
The inhabitants of Adi-Tekelezan sub-zone are undertaking tree planting activities with a view to reinforcing soil and water conservation program, stated Mr. Kafil Mussa, Administrator of the sub-zone.
The inhabitants of Alebu administrative area, Tessenei sub-zone, expressed satisfaction with the provision of 24-hour electricity supply. They said that they are now in a position to register improvements in their standard of living.
