In a meeting with the inhabitants of Molqi semi-urban center, Mr. Tareke Abai, head of development in the area, called on the local inhabitants to make coordinated endeavors in the task of collecting tax, judicious utilization of water resource and maintaining environmental sanitation.   

The Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Arefaine Berhe, stated that commendable agricultural activities have been undertaken in different areas of the Gash-Barka region owing to this year’s promising rainy season. He made the statement during his tour of inspection to observe summer agricultural activities in the area.

In line with its infrastructural development projects and  quality control endeavors, Gedec Company is making due contribution in upgrading the skills of  young professionals- assigned to work there from different colleges, Eng. Mekonen Habtesion, manager of the company disclosed. 

The participants of Summer Work Program (SWP) are carrying out effective soil and water conservation activities in addition to the unity and work spirit they are developing.

5th Central and Eastern Confederation of African Football Association (CECAFA) Cup under the age of 20 was officially opened today in the Asmara Stadium here in the capital under the theme: “Friendship and Development Cup”.
