President Isaias Afwerki today received and held separate talks with the Director of the African and Indian Ocean Department in the French Foreign Ministry, Mr. Stephen Gompertz, as well as the Director General of the UN Department for Peace and Humanitarian Affairs at the Norwegian Foreign Ministry, Mr. Geir O. Pedersen.
Eritrea Festival in the western coast of USA was conducted from August 13 to 15 in Oakland city, California, with patriotic zeal.
President Isaias Afwerki today received and held talks with a Sudanese delegation headed by Mr. Mussa Mohammed Ahmed, Assistant to the Sudanese President and Chairman of the East Sudan Front. President Isaias asserted that Eritrea in principle supports the unity of Sudan, and underscored that all Sudanese forces should work jointly for the realization of such an objective.
National team participants of the CECAFA Cup under 20 say that member states have valuable lessons to draw from Eritrea’s excellent organization of the major regional tournament being held for the first time in the country.
The Administrator of the Central region, Mr. Kahsai Gebrehiwet, called on the farming community in Serejeka sub-zone to work in accordance with the land proclamation, and thereby back up the on-going development endeavors. He made the remarks in a meeting he held with the inhabitants of Embaderho, Geremi, Midrezien, Ametsi, Beleza and Dembezawul.
