Eritrean Community in Sydney Stands 1st in Annual Cultural and Artistic Festival

The Eritrean Community in Sydney won prize for the second time in the annual cultural and artistic competition in which communities from a number of countries took part, according to the Eritrean Consulate General in Australia and New-Zealand.

Asmara, 18 April 2010 - The Eritrean Community in Sydney won prize for the second time in the annual cultural and artistic competition in which communities from a number of countries took part, according to the Eritrean Consulate General in Australia and New-Zealand.

In the competition stated in the form of festival that reflected multi-cultural dimension, the Eritrean community stood first for demonstrating impressive cultural performance.

Various programs, including folk dances, traditional food, traditional dress and different community activities, among others featured in the festival.  Reports indicated that Eritrean associations in Sydney make significant contribution in highlighting the culture and tradition of the nation.
