National developmental drive assuming promising future, Says NUEW branch in Germany

In the course of the visit to Gash-Barka region, members of the National Union of Eritrean Women(NUEW) branch in Germany said that the implementation of various developmental and reconstruction programs in the Homeland on the basis of internal capacity amply demonstrates the nation’s bright future. 
Asmara, 6 June 2010 – In the course of the visit to Gash-Barka region, members of the National Union of Eritrean Women(NUEW) branch in Germany said that the implementation of various developmental and reconstruction programs in the Homeland on the basis of internal capacity amply demonstrates the nation’s bright future. 

They stressed the vital importance of the development activities they observed in Barentu, Tessenei, Bisha mining, National Training and Educational Center in Sawa, as well as  Fonco and Gerset Dams in improving the people’s living standard and achieving food security. The members expressed satisfaction for personally witnessing the implementation of such major development programs. 

One of the members, Ms. Aster Araia from Stuttgart, said that the nation would be cited as an example of self-reliance, and the achievement registered in various domains was beyond her expectation. Similarly, Ms. Ainealem Haile expressed high impression with the urbanization of Gash-Barka region which became the hub of development drive.

The secretary of the NUEW branch in Germany, Ms. Saba Sium, said  on her part the visit attests to the desire of Eritrean nationals residing abroad to personally witness the development endeavors in the Homeland.
