American Artist Expresses Admiration Of Eritrea And Its People

An American artist, Mr. Robert Keith, who come to Eritrea to participate in the 4th Eri-Youth Festival, expressed his admiration of the prevailing peace and stability in the country as well as the commitment and patriotism of the people.
Asmara, 17 July 2010 – An American artist, Mr. Robert Keith, who come to Eritrea to participate in the 4th Eri-Youth Festival, expressed his admiration of the prevailing peace and stability in the country as well as the commitment and patriotism of the people.

Expressing his appreciation of the hospitability extended to him during his stay in Asmara, Mr. Keith, who is the directory of the famed Eritrean-American musicians, the Eri-Am sisters, stated that he has been able to experience for himself the accounts he had heard from Eritreans residing in the US.

Indicating that Eritrea is the first African country he has visited, Mr. Keith said that the prevailing peace in Asmara is much more reliable than that in most US states. He went on to add that his journey from Asmara to Sawa confirmed to his that Eritrea has no corner in the constant chaos and instability in Africa reported by different media outlets.


Regarding the opening of the 4th Eri-Youth Festival, Mr. Keith said that he was impressed by the military parade staged by the 23rd round members of National Service.

Having worked as a music director for a long time in the US, Mr. Keith admired the artistic show presented during the opening of the festival by Eritrean artists.

It is be noted that the ‘Eri-Am’ singing group is made up of three Eritrean-American sisters who have won great acclaim in the US.
