Vocational trainings in Central and Anseba regions

98 youth including 56 women were provided with vocational trainings in the Adi Guadad Youth Training Center.

Asmara, 30 May 2018 – 98 youth including 56 women were provided with vocational trainings in the Adi Guadad Youth Training Center. The trainings that lasted 2-4 months included basic photography and video camera, bee farming and poultry, electricity and solar panel installation, computer editing and graphics as well as hair dressing and drama.

At the graduation ceremony, which was conducted on 26 May, Mr. Osman Nur. head of project at the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students branch in the Central region, stating that the trainees were selected from the youth committees at the sub zone level, indicated that the training was aimed at creating job opportunities for the youth and that micro credits will be offered to the trainees.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students, Mr. Saleh Ahmedin congratulating the trainees for the successful completion of the vocational training expressed expectation that the trainees by applying the knowledge they have acquired will improve their living standard and enhance their contribution in development programs.

In the mean while, the Teachers’ Association branch in the Anseba region provided training for its members with the objective of enhancing their capacity.

The training in which officials from the Ministry of Education branches in the subzones, supervisors and directors of schools took part was focused on administration and professional ethics.

The organizer of the training Mr. Teclesembet Zerai, head of the Secondary Schools in the Anseba region, stated that the aim of the training is to enhance the administrative skills of teachers that is paramount in tackling challenges that may encounter in the teaching and learning process and advancing the quality and competitiveness of students.
