Campaign to increase voluntary blood donors

Campaign with a view to increase the number of voluntary blood donors was conducted in Adi-Keih sub-zone.

Adi-Keih, 12 April 2019- Campaign with a view to increase the number of voluntary blood donors was conducted in Adi-Keih sub-zone.

At the campaign in which administrators and experts participated, Mr. Kiros Gebremariam, managing director of Adi-Keih sub-zone, explained on the significance of voluntary blood donation in saving lives and called for increased participation of the public.

The head of public health in the sub-zone, Mr. Kibrom Shumangus gave extensive briefing on the objective and importance of the establishment of voluntary blood donors association.

Mr. Okbagebriel Haile, head of Laboratory at the Adi-Keih Hospital, called for correcting the negative perception on blood donation and commended for the initiative the college and high school students in Adi-Keih took in donating blood.

The participants expressed readiness to increase participation in the effort to establish the voluntary blood donors association.
