Haikota: Students undertake harvesting activities in farms of martyrs’ families
Haikota, 3 November 2012 – Students and teachers from the High School in Haikota semi-urban center conducted a campaign with a view to harvesting farms belonging to families of fallen heroes and needy citizens.
Among the students, Yacob Mohammed Idris and Mieraf Gebretinsae voiced satisfaction with participating in the undertaking.
Out of the beneficiaries, Ms. Dehab Adem and Ms. Amna Mahmoud expressed appreciation for the initiative taken by the students, on the basis of which they could collect their harvest on time.
Mr. Tesfatsion Damir, director of the school, lauded the students’ readiness to honor the trust of fallen heroes and for keeping intact their behest.
Mr. Abdalla Mahmoud from the Education Ministry’s branch in Haikota sub-zone said that they would take similar initiative in the future.
