ATTI students pledge to live up to the nation’s expectations
Asmara, 26 February 2010 - Students of the Asmara Teachers Training Institute (ATTI) pledged that they would live up to the expectation of the people and the Government who enabled them to secure the educational opportunities.
They stated that contrary to a number of countries in which access to education is considered as a privilege secured only by the haves, in Eritrea, however, every citizens is entitled to educational opportunity free of charge. The students further lauded the substantial investment being made by the Government towards developing the education sector and nurturing dynamic youths.
They explained that educational opportunities in the country from the elementary to higher education level is being provided free of charge. Noting that the Government’s policy of free education to all emanates from its care to the people, they reiterated commitment to serve the public with dedication.
Reports indicated that the Government disburses over 6 million Nakfa annually for training youths at the Asmara Teachers Training Institute.
