Fruits and Vegetables Farmers Association in Anseba region called upon to raise output
The regional Administrator pointed out that the region is suitable for the production of a number of fruit and vegetable varieties as researches confirm, and that the majority of them have been put under cultivation. Moreover, he called on the Association members to demonstrate collaboration in the regional Administration’s current priorities such as in securing animal feed, construction of micro-dams, enrichment of soil, boosting meat and dairy production, as well as soil and water conservation.
Mr. Lijam Tesfalidet, chairman of the Association, explained that it has played vital role in ensuring supply of pesticides, water pump spare parts and other agricultural equipments, besides paving the groundwork for exchange of experience among members and liaising between them. It has also been playing significant role in meeting local demand.
