Better facilities put in place in health station in Habero-Tsaeda: Report
Keren, 16 February 2013 – Better electricity supply, transport and potable water supply facilities have been put in place in the health station in Habero-Tsaeda Administrative area, Anseba region.
Mr. Mensur Abubeker, head of the health station, explained that it could ensure sustainable supply of potable water and electricity on the basis of availability of wells around the micro-dam in the locality and the putting in place of solar panels. He further disclosed that a new ambulance has started rendering commendable service in the locality.
The health station provides outpatient, maternity, pediatric, immunization, VCT and community sensitization services, and community awareness on health issues is on the rise vis-à-vis declining trend of child and mother mortality, according to reports.
Mr. Hamd Mohammed, a nurse, indicated that VCT service has made positive impact as regards control of HIV/AIDS in the locality through fostering community awareness concerning the disease.
Among the inhabitants, Amna Mohammed Seid and Hamd Idris Hamd expressed satisfaction with the service being rendered by the health station.
