Junior school being constructed in Bet-Gebriel administrative area
Bet-Gebreal, 12 March 2010 - A junior school is under construction in Bet-Gebriel administrative area, Adi-Quala sub-zone, at a cost of 10 million Nakfa with a view to alleviating shortage of enough classrooms, according to Eng. Ephrem Afwerki.
The school being constructed through the collaboration of the Ministry of Education and partners includes 24 classrooms, an office, restrooms and a pond with a capacity of holding about 450 barrels of water. The project is being implemented by Debwin Construction Company, and that efforts are being stepped up to finalize the project soon.
The head of economic development in the sub-zone, Mr. Frewengiel Teklehaimanot, pointed out that the Government is doing its level best to expand equitable social services in all parts of the country and called on the local inhabitants to enhance participation to this end.
Commending the substantial investment being made by the Government to develop the education sector, the local inhabitants asserted that they would send their children to school.
