Role of Teachers Vital In Providing Education Of International Standard

Barentu, 14 March 2010 - In a meeting held with teachers of Shambuko and Molqui sub-zones, it was stressed that teachers need to exert utmost efforts in their field so as to boost the government's efforts to provide quality education that meets international standards as well as promote productivity.

Noting teachers’ responsibility in nurturing competent students goes hand in hand with their endeavors to ensure the provision of quality education, Head of the Branch office of the Ministry of Education in the Gash Barka region, Mr. Kelit Girmay called on teachers to enhance their contribution accordingly.

Furthermore, Mr. Haileab Habtai, head of Research, Planning and Training at the Branch office, presented extensive briefings regarding the activities of schools in the sub-zones of Molqui and Shambuko.

The teachers on their part reiterated readiness to step up their endeavors to nurture competent youths so as to live up to the nation’s and people’s expectations. 

Finally, the Administrator of Shambuko sub-zone, Mr. Abubeker Mahmud said that members of the administration will endeavor to provide the necessary support for the teachers with a view to ensuring the success of the government's programs.
