President Isaias Returns Home Concluding Working Visit To Libya
Asmara, 14 March 2010 - President Isaias Afwerki returned home in the evening hours today concluding a two-day working visit to Libya.
On Saturday March 13, President Isaias held talks with the Libyan leader and Chairman of the CEN-SAD, Brother Muammar Al-Gaddafi, focusing on bilateral relations and promoting peace and stability in Africa.
In the meeting conducted in Tripoli, the two leaders discussed and exchanged ideas as regards the developments of peace and stability issues in Africa in general and in the Horn of Africa and CEN-SAD states in particular.
Furthermore, President Isaias met and discussed with the Secretary of the General Peoples Committee of Libya on fostering bilateral relations and importance of Libyan investment in Eritrea. Based on the agreement reached during the meeting, a time frame was outlined for future Libyan investments in Eritrea in the sectors of tourism, manufacturing and real estate.
President Isaias Afwerki had left for a working visit in Libya yesterday.
