Asmara, 27 May 2010 – President Isaias Afwerki took part in the inaugural ceremony of Sudanese President Omar Hassen Al-Beshir

President Isaias participated in today’s ceremony at the official invitation extended to him by the Government of Sudan.

In a speech he delivered after taking oath, the Sudanese leader pointed out that the signing in Asmara of the East Sudan Agreement and the process of its implementation is to be cited as being exemplary.

President Omar Hassen Al-Beshir was elected for the second time as Sudanese leader last month.
