Agricultural Activities To Be Enhanced In Golij Sub-Zone

Golij, 28 May 2010 - Agricultural activities would be undertaken with added vigor in Golij sub-zone through close coordination of the Agriculture Ministry and the governmental garage, according to Mr. Zere Teklezgi, Acting administrator of the sub-zone. Sufficient agricultural machineries have already been deployed to this end, he added.

Stressing the need for the general public to make the necessary agricultural preparations before the onset of the rainy season, he called on nationals, especially the farming community to enhance contribution to this end. 

Mr. Zere further indicated that the implementation of development programs and the expansion of social services in the sub-zone are playing major role in improving the people’s standard of living. He also explained that an elementary and junior school has been opened in Kachero, while a secondary school building was constructed in Omhajer this year.

He went on to say that due attention has been given to the task of implementing potable water supply project and construction of water reservoirs in all administrative areas of the sub-zone.
