Wina Technical School Striving to Nurture Skilled Manpower

Nacfa, 28 July 2010 - Wina Technical School in Nacfa town is exerting vigorous endeavors to upgrade the existing workshops both in terms of quality and intensity so as to build the  nation’s human resource capacity.

The students of the school said that it continues to register major development, and that all the shortcomings they used to face have now been tackled leading to effective teaching-learning process.

The director of the school, Mr. Eyob Beyin, stated on his part that competent Eritrean instructors have been nurtured, which in turn positively affected the quality of pedagogy. He went on to say that on top of the existing courses on metal and wood  works, electricity, building construction and mechanics, the school has introduced new courses in computer science, mechanical drawing and survey.

Noting that about 380 students are currently pursuing educational opportunities in the technical school, Mr. Eyob explained that a budget of more than 5 million Nakfa is being allocated for it annually. There are also plans to construct a G+1 building complex in Wina Technical School, in addition to opening new electronics workshop.
