Women in Adi-Tekelezan Sub-Zone Carrying Out Reforestation Tasks
Adi-Tekelezan, 4 August 2010 - Women in Wara and Deki-Gebru administrative areas, Adi-Tekelezan sub-zone, are stepping up reforestation activities with a view to promoting sound ecology.
The participants of the campaign stated that the program is aimed at covering the eroded areas with greenery scene, thus enhance environmental protection endeavors.
They went on to say that the active participation of women in the campaign plays major role in enhancing their participation in diverse aspects. The coordinator of projects in the NUEW branch in Anseba region, Ms. Tirhas Nirayo, explained that about 120 women from Wara and Deki-Gebru administrative areas are actively engaged in the activities.
