Keren, 7 August 2010 - The NUEW branch in Anseba region extended cattle in assistance to a total of 291 needy women bread winners in the sub-zones of Hagaz and Keren over the past two months.

The head of the branch office, Ms. Alem Belai, explained that the Union continues to work diligently in improving the living condition of women, and that each beneficiary has been rehabilitated through extending livestock worth 5,000 Nakfa. All in all, the branch office has disbursed 1.4 million Nakfa to this end, she added.

The beneficiaries expressed satisfaction with the assistance and stressed its importance in endeavors towards becoming self-supporting and productive.
