Inhabitants of Adi-Niamin undertaking development activities
Dirfo, 14 August 2010 - The inhabitants of Adi-Niamin, Logo-Anseba sub-zone, are carrying out effective development activities focusing on soil and water conservation, as well as renovation of the Deki Shihai-Adi Niamin road.
The local inhabitants told ERINA that the campaign is aimed at boosting agricultural production through the proper conservation of soil and water. Besides, the activities have vital role to play in easing transport problem through repairing the 16 Km.-long road which was damaged due to heavy rains, they added.
They went on to say that Adi-Niamin administrative area is on the stage of transformation into a semi-urban center as a result of the expansion of various services.
The Acting head of the area, Mr. Melake Gerihlase, said on his part that the inhabitants are taking active participation in the undertaking and added that the installation of a 24-hour electricity service in the area is providing impetus to the process of its urbanization.
