Participants Of SWP Conduct Effective Soil And Water Conservation Activities


Mendefera, 15 August 2010 – The participants of Summer Work Program (SWP) are carrying out effective soil and water conservation activities in addition to the unity and work spirit they are developing.

Accordingly, a total of 500 students out of whom 250 females from Senafe sub-zone assigned to work in Embaderho, Mezba and Emba-Soira, are carrying out various agricultural activities under supervision of teachers and agricultural experts.  On top of this, they are engaged in renovating damaged roads and replacing old water pipelines with new ones.

Likewise, the participants of SWP in Dekemhare sub-zone are carrying out soil and water conservation activities and planted 13,000 tree seedlings.
