Dekemhare, 5 September 2010 – The provision of potable water supply services by the Government and partners in Dengel, Dekemhare sub-zone, is making due contribution in alleviating water problems.

The local inhabitants explained that the newly constructed dam is now able to accumulate adequate amount of water, making effective use of river waters previously left unused.

Indicating that preparations are underway to put under cultivation extensive farmland beneath the dam through irrigation, they said that construction and repairing of wells would have significant role to play in alleviating water problems.

Dengel, which is found in the administrative area of Awli'e-Tsoru, and is located 16 Km west of Dekemhare town.
