Administrator says regrouping of villages would be stepped up in Ara’ata sub-zone

Ara’ata, 3 February 2012 – The Administrator of the Southern Red Sea region, Mr. Ali Mahmoud, said that the process of regrouping villages would be stepped up.  He made the statement following a tour of the on-going development sites in Ara’ata sub-zone and a meeting he held with Area administrators.

The Administrator stressed the need to exert more efforts to raise female enrolment in schools, and called on parents to send their children to school. He added that extensive agricultural activities through tractors are underway in some areas and machineries would be deployed to construct water diversion schemes.

Moreover, Mr. Ali indicated that the regional Administration would extend support to nationals engaged in cultivating small-scale plots.
