Eritrean Nationals In Australia And New Zealand Reiterate Readiness For United National Mekete

Asmara, 10 January 2010 – Eritrean nationals residing in Australia and New Zealand reiterated their readiness to stand alongside their government and people in realizing development goals and rebuffing all external hostilities and ploys. 

In the seminar conducted in Melbourne city in connection with the 10th Eritrea Festival underway in Australia and New Zealand, the Eritrean ambassador, Mr. Andeab Gebremeskel briefed participants regarding the objective situation in the Homeland. The participants on their part stated that they have been able to follow development endeavors in the Homeland owing to the Eritrean media and asserted that they will continue to strengthen their coordination so as to further boost their support of their country and people.

During the seminar, Mr. Andeab pointed out that the fact that the Eritrean people have been able to move on with their development projects regardless of the challenges faced along the way is a testimony to their unity and commitment. Lauding the efforts of Eritreans abroad in supporting their government and people, the ambassador underlined the importance of further enhancing such support.

Mr. Andeab went on to state that the success achieved in water and soil conservation endeavors has created conducive grounds for efficient utilization of agricultural resources and indicated that development projects that have already been implemented have added drive to the country's economic progress. The remarkable achievements registered in the provision of educational and health services in different corners of the country have played a significant role in the lives of nationals, he added.

The 10th Eritrea Festival in Australia and New Zealand that was officially opened on January 8, 2010, is continuing with patrioti zeal.
