Eritrean nationals living in Germany and Italy reiterate readiness to boost contribution to national programs

Asmara, 9 May 2008 - Eritrean nationals living in Germany and different Italian cities reiterated their readiness to boost their contribution in national programs.
In meetings held in the cities of Manheim and Vupertal from May 3 to 4, in which PFDJ heads and the Eritrean Community in Germany took part, the head of Public and Community Affairs in the Eritrean Embassy to Germany, Mr. Berhane Zere, gave briefings on the objective situation in the Homeland and the region. He called on nationals to exert increased efforts towards the success of the national development drive.
Moreover, reports on the activities carried out over the past four months in the political, social and financial domains were presented at the meeting, and that the campaign conducted was assessed as being effective.
Meanwhile, Eritrean citizens in the Italian cities of Bologna, Firenze, Naples, Bari and Catania conducted similar seminars, during which they expressed their determination to live up to the nation’s expectation.
In a separate seminar held in Bologna, the Eritrean Ambassador to Italy, Mr. Zemede Tekle, gave briefings on the prevailing situation in the Homeland and regional issues. Commending the major development programs being implemented through the Warsay-Yikaalo Development Campaign, the participants of the meeting voiced commitment to back up the national development drive. They also decided to donate 300 Euro each for the national cause. Likewise, the head of Public and Community Affairs in the Eritrean Embassy to Italy, Ms. Semainesh Kiros, conducted a similar seminar in the city of Firenze, according to reports.
